Teacher Training Testimonials
“Amanda Reid from Samadhi Family Yoga is a very knowledgeable teacher. Her communication is clear, passionate and entertaining. She has a wealth of experience in all areas she is teaching. In her courses a personal practice and input of the student’s ideas are encouraged and welcomed. Opportunities to put the learned material into practice on visiting children are provided and supported. Thereby confidence is build up. Amanda has the ability to motivate students into wanting to find out and learn more-not only about yoga but also Ayurveda, children’s education, communication and other areas that are vital life skills. Her courses are a joy, a challenge, an invigoration. They inspired me to a change into a more balanced lifestyle. Thank you Amanda.” Elke, NZ
“To me Amanda (re)presents Yoga in it’s essences. She offers a combination of Eastern wisdom and invisible human ‘workings’ with Western clarification of visible and measurable goings on to give us a truly in depth and beautifully combined understanding and toolkit of what we can offer children to enhance their contact with themselves and the world around them. I find the course art and science combined and I’m in awe about it all.” Ingrid, NZ
“I practice and teach yoga and have really enjoyed spending time with Amanda. She has a depth of knowledge and the ability to communicate her knowledge in way that works for the student and makes it easily understood. The children’s yoga is amazing, Amanda really understands children and the way she shows you how to teach them is inspiring. My personal experience is that I have learnt a lot from the training and talking to her, I have been able to take the teaching away and apply it not only to children but to my family and adult students as well.” Leza, NZ
“I have been in teacher training with Amanda since 2009 and I don’t want to stop! She is incredibly inspiring, funny, passionate, knowledgeable and very giving as a teacher. Amanda’s wisdom and knowledge about kids yoga, health, and all yoga practices is truly inspiring. She has created an amazing training programme which makes you just want to go out there and share this with the children of the world!!! My mind is exploding with what I have learnt, not only with my own personal practice and how I can improve on a personal level, but in what I can share with kids everywhere. As a parent, it has also enhanced my relationship with my children and allows me to be even more mindful of each precious moment I have with them. Thanks Amanda for offering such an awesome program and for sharing your precious knowledge!” Lisa, Australia
“From the moment I started my Samadhi Family Yoga Teacher Training I knew I was in the right place. Amanda has a very warm and nurturing soul that is a pleasure to be around – absolutely perfect for learning about babies through to adults yoga. This is the first teacher training I have undertaken, and I didn’t know what to expect, but Amanda has made it easy to grasp all aspects of the course. As the course progresses through the different age groups there is much more to learn and remember, and Amanda has an absolute wealth of knowledge that comes from hands-on experience as a yoga teacher, massage therapist and naturopath. This information and experience cannot be gained by reading a book on kids yoga. Just learning about the development of children physically and emotionally at each different age group with regards to yoga is fascinating on it’s own, without factoring in special needs children which is covered as well. If there is anyone who is thinking about teaching yoga to kids of different ages, then you simply must do this training. I don’t think anyone could be as well informed practicing kids yoga than a Samadhi Family Yoga graduate.” Danera, Australia
“I have been practicing yoga for year but became interested in teaching yoga 2 years ago. I initially completed some introductory workshops in children’s yoga but felt drawn to further my studies & investigate children’s Yoga more in depth. I was very fortunate to discover that Amanda Reid of Samadhi Family Yoga was offering the 200hr pregnancy & children’s Yoga teachers training in Brisbane and so began my education. Amanda shares her incredible wealth of knowledge and experience readily with her students and each workshop is presented professionally with well written manuals as well as practical exercises and classes. Amanda inspires compassion and a deeper understanding of children and their needs and at the same time, she opens your mind and inspires the yogic lifestyle. I am grateful to Amanda for awakening the teacher in me and for her incredible commitment to the well being of children all over the world.” Ursula, Australia
“Thanks so much for the fantastic workshop. I really enjoyed it as it gave a slightly different perspective on what I had already learned about kids yoga. Thanks for sharing your light, love and wisdom with us, as well as all your priceless yoga stories.” A.T., New Zealand
“Thank you SO much. I have already had several offers to teach kids yoga. My friends are all keen for their kids to try it too. My son just turned 3 yesterday and loves his yoga. At that age they are natural yogis in every way possible. How is it we eventually learn to doubt and be wary?? You are inspirational. Thank you so much. I am grateful to have crossed paths with you and to know you.” D.L., New Zealand
“I wanted to pass onto you how much I enjoyed the three days teachers training with you. You managed to make the course very easy to understand and also very interesting and for this I thank you.” J.S., New Zealand
