Danera Wilkinson

Danera (Dee) has a huge passion for sharing her yoga experience with all ages. She has been practicing yoga for many years including during and after pregnancy. The mental challenge and stimulation it gives is amazing and has helped immensely through the busy and stressful times of raising young children. Danera says she is more fit and flexible doing yoga than she was with years of gym and cardio workouts. With two beautiful children Ella and Koby, Danera has also witnessed first hand the benefits of yoga for children. They want to join in and try new things and especially love the games and songs.
Dee’s training with Samadhi Family Yoga allowed her to concentrate on these specialised areas as a yoga teacher with classes for Pregnancy, Mums & Bubs, Toddlers and kids in different age groups.  She also has  Blue Card, insurance and First Aid.  Dee has after school outdoor classes and adults indoor classes, and is pleased to be associated with The Gold Coast City Councils Active & Healthy Program which provides free or low cost activities for everyone.

Kirstina Lamont

A working mother, Kirstina finds time for yoga in her daily life in any way she can.  She believes yoga leaves her with a sense of calm, joy and compassion, helping her to be completely present in her family, workplace and community.  After many years of volunteering in her children’s classrooms, with the local playgroup association, and various children’s sporting groups she came to believe that children in her local community could benefit from yoga.  At the same time, as she is enthusiastic about vocalising and jumping about, she had to admit that she would have a lot of fun sharing yoga with them.  Kirstina signed up to become a children’s yoga teacher with Samadhi Family Yoga.  Kirstina has now completed her training and is enjoying sharing yoga with local children, young adults with disabilities, and adults in her community who are open to some fun in their yoga practice.

New Zealand

Ingrid Wierenga

Ingrid Wierenga, psychologist, massage therapist and now yoga teacher for children and teens, clicked with Samadhi Family Yoga for its comprehensive, all-in Yoga approach.  Function over form, yet enjoying the beauty of form.  She is a real people-person and through her life long interest in (integral) psychology, the body and true spirituality, she offers a Yoga class full of discoveries and experiences of Self.   Her primary focus is on teenagers because she gets on well with them and loves their questions and searches.  Born in Holland in 1969 she has loved living, studying and working there until she came to New Zealand in 2006. Warkworth and the Rodney District are full of reasons why she doesn’t feel like leaving for one bit. And she will love to contribute to offering its younger people something that is immensely worthwhile in making life a wonderful journey “no matter what and who you are”.
